DMCA Policy

Last revised: June 16, 2025

Overview

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) provides a legal framework for copyright holders (including creators, developers, and content owners) to request the removal of allegedly infringing material. Freedom Country Farm respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the DMCA to address valid concerns.

You can learn more about the DMCA from the U.S. Copyright Office.

Disclaimer: This policy is not legal advice. We recommend consulting a qualified attorney if you’re unsure about your rights or obligations under the DMCA.

Accuracy & Responsibility

Submitting a DMCA takedown notice is a legal declaration. Under U.S. law, you must affirm that the information you provide is accurate under penalty of perjury (18 U.S. Code § 1621). Knowingly submitting false claims may result in civil or criminal penalties.

Do Your Homework

Freedom Country Farm is a small family business built with care and dedication. Before submitting a takedown request, please:

  • Conduct a thorough review of the alleged infringement.
  • Try to contact the person or business responsible—many misunderstandings can be resolved informally.
  • Consider speaking with a legal professional to ensure your claim is legitimate.

No Bots Allowed

Every DMCA notice must be reviewed and submitted by a real person. If you’re working with a third party, make sure they aren’t sending automated or bulk notices. These often result in invalid or unfair takedowns.

Counter Notices

If someone believes their content was wrongfully removed from our site, they may submit a DMCA counter notice. Once we receive it, we’ll restore the content within 14 business days—unless you notify us that you’ve filed a legal action.

Our Role

Freedom Country Farm’s role is to ensure that takedown notices meet the minimum DMCA requirements. We do not judge the validity of the claims. That responsibility belongs to the parties involved.

How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

Please email us at simoneandskip@gmail.com and include the following details (plain-text format is preferred):

  • Your full legal name (typed counts as a signature)
  • A description or link to the copyrighted work in question
  • A description or URL of the allegedly infringing content
  • Your contact information (address, phone number, and email)
  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
  • A statement that the information is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Optional Physical Mail
