Who We Are

Behind Freedom Country Farm are Simone and Skip, two U.S. Navy veterans with a shared love for rural life, animals, and meaningful human connection.

Simone

A former Navy and FAA air traffic controller, Simone brings exceptional focus, attention to detail, and calm leadership to the daily rhythms of the farm. She has also worked as an engineer and project manager, and spent over 7 years as a foster parent. Simone grew up on a farm, has owned several properties over the years, and has a lifelong connection to horses and small livestock. Today, she leads many of the farm’s hospitality and equine programs, guided by compassion and purpose.

Skip

A 20-year Navy veteran, Skip spent much of his life serving aboard Navy ships. After retiring from military service, he worked in long-haul trucking for 17 years. Today, he’s the hands-on caretaker of the property—managing the daily needs of our horses, land, and multiple Airbnb rentals. His steady presence ensures every aspect of the farm is maintained with dedication and integrity.
